How to be a Happy Holiday Hustler
Okay friends ...November & December are the promise land inside the Social Selling, Network Marketing industry. Between holiday shopping, Black Friday and Boxing Day - it's definitely the best time of year to be working a social selling business!
So, let's chat tips.
First off - I want you to set some big goals. Like, take your normal month and double it. Because that's the type of opportunity that you are sitting on.
And then once you've set your goal - I want you to sit down with a piece of paper and a pen and brainstorm every little thing that you can do to make that goal happen. Because it's not necessarily going to be easy, but I promise you it is going to be worth it. Especially when you dig a little deeper, and try everything you can think of to take advantage of the season.
Here are some ideas for you:
Vendor Events - Vendor Events are not always my favourite, I will admit. Online or In-Person I have done tons of busts. However, if there's one time of year (other than Mother's Day) that is the perfect time of year to do them - it's HOLIDAY SEASON! I mean, you guys ...you may actually make some sales, not just contacts!
And they're a great way to meet other business owners that you could find ways to collaborate with over the holiday season. Or maybe you can do some of your own holiday shopping.
So I say - do a few! But do them strategically!
Take lower priced items, make sure you can sell of your table and maybe even offer some giftables or gift wrapping so that people can feel like they're checking things off their list. Or if you are doing them online - create gift giving guides, and make recommendations for the different people they are shopping with.
And of course ...always remember the goal! Bring them back to somewhere! Whether it's an email list, or your VIP Group or even your IG - you want to stay connected.
Next up! Blow up Black Friday! Find something fun that will reward people for shopping with you (let's remember they have a billion other options out there, even one thousands that are selling exactly the same products as you - so make sure to stand out) and showcase your products in such a way that you're helping people shop.
I have always done a fun version of a Mystery Hostess. Where I choose 5-10 fun prizes and every $20 spent grabs my shoppers a ballot that they can enter to win any of the prizes. It's so much fun, and a great way to entice shopping. I also like to do as many Black Friday Events as I can - either with private Hostesses, or in Messenger ...whatever I can think of.
If your company has a sale, make sure you maximize it in every way you can think of.
Be a Holiday Helper. And by this I mean - be of service. Reach out to all of your regulars, all of your best shoppers - and see if you can help! I have been known to connect with hubby's to make sure that their wives are opening something they are happy with. Or to offer gift wrapping to make everything simpler. Or I've put together different options for the teachers, bus drivers, care givers, etc.
This is how we set ourselves apart! By thinking outside the box and loving up on our customers during this time of the year. They're busy, they're being pulled in a million different directions and they have to do lists a mile long. So, ask yourself - how can I (and my business/products) help?
What ideas do you have? I would love to hear them! xo
